Getting Help

GETTING HELP

Whether you have a pressing need that requires immediate care or you're simply looking for some direction, here are some ways that we as a church can help meet your needs.

Pastoral Team

Here at Holy Trinity we have a trained Pastoral Team who support and pray for those going through difficult times in life for example illness, bereavement, unemployment and loneliness.
If you are feeling depressed, lonely or anxious and need to talk with someone in confidence, then please get in touch with the Pastoral Team - home visits and hospital visits can also be arranged.

Prayer Ministry

Each week there is the opportunity within our morning services to receive prayer ministry from our trained team. Appointments can also be arranged at other times.
Jesus came to bring forgiveness, healing, freedom, and release to those who are wounded and weary. Prayer ministry is available so that people can be transformed through experiencing his love.

Christian Counselling

Sometimes a person may need more than some practical help and someone to talk to and pray with. It may be possible through the church for you to be put in contact with a Christian counsellor, who is either a member of Holy Trinity Church or someone we can refer you to.

Hospital Chaplaincy

The chaplaincy team are available to ensure the pastoral and spiritual needs of patients, their families and staff members are adequately addressed. Coming into hospital can be a frightening experience, away from all the home comforts and facing a degree of uncertainty. We seek to offer support to everyone regardless of their faith position, principally by listening
Just ask for a visit by telephoning 01276 604184

Christenings

We love to do Christenings at Holy Trinity and would welcome anyone in our parish or with a link to the church for a special service for your child. There are quite a few options we can offer, including what type of Christening and what style of service we can do for you. There is no charge for Christenings.

Your child is precious to you and precious to God. With a Christening you make a decision to start your child on a journey of faith. The church and the godparents support the family and the child in this decision.

Weddings

As well as supporting existing marriages, we always delight to do weddings for those eligible at Holy Trinity. To be eligible, you need either to live in our parish, to be on the electoral roll of the church or have another qualifying connection. If one or both parties is divorced, we will need to meet to see whether a marriage is possible. Standard Church of England fees apply.

Funerals

A funeral marks the close of a human life on earth. It is the opportunity for friends and family to express their grief, to give thanks for the life which has now completed its journey in this world.

Often the funeral director will suggest a minster to you. However if you would like someone from Holy Trinity to take your funeral or the funeral of a loved one, then we would be happy to do this. Standard Church of England fees apply.
